Most importers end up with a different broker at every port, which means a different file, a different contact and a different answer each time something is held. We file the U.S. entry and the Mexican pedimento on the same shipment, from one team, whichever gateway the freight moves through. Laredo is our largest operation, with offices and 200,000 sq ft of warehouse capacity, and it is the busiest inland port in North America by trade value. It is not the only place we clear.
Frequently asked questions
Can you clear at a port you do not list?
Tell us the port and the product. If we do not clear there directly, we will tell you plainly rather than quietly subcontract it and add a layer between you and the entry.
Can one broker handle several ports for the same importer?
Yes, and it is usually better. One broker across your ports means one classification approach, one set of records and one place to call when an entry is questioned.
Do you clear ocean freight as well as truck?
Yes. We clear at Manzanillo, Veracruz, Altamira and Lázaro Cárdenas in Mexico, and at Houston, Long Beach and Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey, and Savannah in the United States, and we move the freight onward from the port.
