Grain and seeds must meet SENASICA’s phytosanitary requirements: an international phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin and inspection at the Agricultural Health Inspection Office (OISA) at the port of entry, where the Phytosanitary Import Certificate is issued. Seeds for planting have additional requirements. U.S. grain can normally be imported with USMCA preferential treatment if it qualifies as originating and has the certification of origin.
